Title : Critically Comparing my Skills, Processes and Methods
1st. Formulate your question:
Look below at what you  are you being asked to evaluate.
Unit 1
U1.2.1 Critically compare a range of communication methods used to convey meaning in creative media production.
Note Critically is similar to compare but concentrate on the things that are different with two or more methods used or what sets them apart. Point out any differences which are particularly significant.

In your own words say what U1.2.1 is asking you to do.
Answer: It's asking for us to first think of the several communication methods that we have used in within the carousel and then critically compare these methods , e.g. how useful/effective they are at portraying meaning to the audience.

2nd. Gather your information:
What have you been doing that you can evaluate
On your blog you now have two weeks detailing classes in The Carousel and professional ways to use tools, skills, processes.  If you have details of these you have done this point just add the links below.

3rd. Apply the information
How well have you done in the sessions?
Ask yourself: I believe I've done well in these sessions
  • Which skills, Processes and Methods or tools you enjoyed the most?
Answer: I enjoyed going through the method of filming the one minute advert probably the most as it was a challenge to most of us, and we overcame this challenge well. Going through this also provided useful for different skills , like for me personally it developed lighting skills like how we should deal with over-exposure on cameras and the different communication skills. This session also provided us with more useful skills when it comes to filming like doing close-up shots.

Which of the things you have been shown could you demonstrate to another person?
Answer: Photoshop is the most memorable for me as it was the most enjoyable so this could be the most possible thing to demonstrate to someone else. In the Photoshop session , we were all able to animate an organic object onto a human face from online or in our documents. Using the face photograph , we had digitally-manipulated the image without causing any disruption with the data in the image using a non-destructive method. So by learning this I believe that this would be one of the best things I could demonstrate to another person.

Which of the things you have been shown do you need more practice with?
Answer: Practice on how to use Maya could provide useful for the future as we didn't have a lot of time to spend on this application, causing some information to alter and misshape. However it was useful with the time we had as we did create an animated , rounded object that followed a rhythmic pattern.
4th. Consider the implications
If you were asked by a professional to use some of the tools, skills, processes how well would you do?

Answer: I believe that I'd do well as my understanding of a lot of these skills , processes , tools , etc. has been deepened a lot further due to these carousel sessions so this would be a lot better for when I'd use these tools compared to when I had a poor understanding.

5. Explore other points of view
Have you considered feedback from teachers and Peers as to how well you did in the session, if so what feedback have you had?
Answer: Some of my peers told me that during Stefan's session, when I was the floor manager, that I had did a good job at listening and creating a good leadership role. " I've been told that I put 110% effort into my work ".

What Feedback have you had so far that tells you you are doing okay in the session?
Answer: - James Halliday - " You're doing ok ".
